Why are people ignorant & racist?
96 Answers
After viewing peoples posts earlier regarding immigrants/muslims, I'm really shocked & disgusted of their thoughts. Like I have said in a previous post, people really need to be educated properly about peoples religions, culture, poltics etc before they can make comments like this. People need to get use to living in a multi-cultural country, full stop!

Do not get me wrong but Christianity have had there fair share of wrong doings but in the case of the Muslims reacting to the Popes quote I agree with them as the Vatican should have known that this is a sensitive subject hence the reation! I do not judge people for their religion, race, culture, sexuality etc I only judge pople who happen to know me & still go and do wrong to me. So I cannot judge u for your opinion.

Malibu- seriously...slow down, think about what you are typing and for the love of God please use the Queen's English when you reply.
let me give you an example of why I believe you are wrong...I live on a typical street, and on that street live several Muslim families. All are very nice, polite people with children who are well behaved and do not cause anyone a bit of bother.
Also on my street I have several families who are white, British, who burgle houses, cars in fact anything they can, in order to feed their drug and drink habit. They are continuously fighting on the street at 3am in the morning and generally making the entire neghbourhood a nightmare to live in.
Based on the above.....which would you rather live near? Now think carefully and perhaps for a nanosecond longer than you have on your previous replies.
thank you.

Of course, but ALL religion surely should be open to debate and criticism, I don't believe my views are rascist, I have no time for religion,it causes far too many problems, but muslims do appear to me to be over sensitive, when the cartoons were published they swore to kill whoever was resposible,if that is religion,I am glad I have nothing to do with it, I am off to bed now so goodnight all, Ray
think you're missing my point Malibu, and you're spelling is really beginning to irritate me!
I never once stated that terrorist actions were correct or even to be condoned (you might need a dictionary for that word).
We (well looks like just me now) are pointing out that you simply cant make a sweeping statement like "send them ALL back". Not EVERY Muslim wants to put your head on pole and dance round it, the vast majority are peaceful people just wanting to live their lives.
Incidentally- what would you do with the British born Muslims?

There was an interview with a Muslim protestor on the news earlier this evening and he made a remark along the lines of "It's written that anyone who criticises or offends the religion would receive 'capital punishment'..", although he distanced himself personally from the threat, for obvious reasons.
Although I'm sure I'll be accused of being racist, I can't think of a time in recent years when any other religious group has took such an aggressive stance towards critics - Okay, Christians aren't the best people in the world necessarily, but the worst threat you usually get is that you'll go to hell (which I guess I can live with), not be assassinated! Muslim responses just seem very extreme to me, at least in the last few months, that's all.
