Why are people ignorant & racist?

After viewing peoples posts earlier regarding immigrants/muslims, I'm really shocked & disgusted of their thoughts. Like I have said in a previous post, people really need to be educated properly about peoples religions, culture, poltics etc before they can make comments like this. People need to get use to living in a multi-cultural country, full stop!

As any right thinking person can see none of the above are true, but many are the opinion held by too many people.

Until people can realise that the first few statements are as ridiculous as the others we'll never get anywhere!!!

exactly dot.........surely the whole thing is a lot more simple than people think

there are good & bad people in every race/religion/whatever but a minority spoils it for everyone - same as anything else in life. like on here - most people get along and we do have a fair bit of healthy debate and discussion, but when it gets abusive something should be done.

Like you said, some people can't seem to cope with RATIONAL debate and discuss things in a calm and logical manner
