Boyfriend going on gap year trip....

Hey, didnt really know what catergory to putthis question under but my boyfriend of nearly a year is going away for 6 months in 2 weeks and I wondered if anybody had any suggestions of what I can get him as a leaving present??? I'm only 18 so budget is tight! I want to give him something original and sentimental! Thankyou!

maybe you could get him something that might come in useful for where he is going?
hmm.. or you could buy him a little picture keyring and put a picture of you in it!
another little idea - you could get him a dog tag, and then get it inscribed (think thats the right word) with something.
i think little things might work better than a big present, as its more sentimental?

Yes, something that he can carry around that reminds him of you seems the way forward. I like some of the ideas above.

some other ideas ive just thought of - you could make him a mixed cd? or if your wanting to spend a bit more, you could get him a cheap mp3 player and put all his favourite songs on it.
or you could buy him a new wallet for his travels and put in a picture of you or one of you & him... you could also put in a little letter or note from you for him as a little suprise for when he starts using it.
i think thats all the ideas i can think of now!!
