It is the Autumn Equinox tomorrow (I think) so bye bye summer. How does it affect you ? Summer gone, darker nights and Halloween, Bonfire Night and Christmas looming. Are you S.A.D. or happy at the prospect ?

Excuse me, Christmas is NOT looming!! Any mention of Christmas was officially banned on here a couple of weeks ago and now you've gone and brought it up again!!
who banned it, autumn and winter are my favourite seasons of the year with crunchy leaves and frosty breath, glorious, bring it on

Ok,ok, sorry. Rephrase to ............Bonfire Night and 'that day no one can mention when we all eat and drink too much and exchange presents and watch HRH The Queen on the telly 'looming.
Aaaahhh cascarelli, you mentioned it TWICE ha ha :-)
Oh I can't wait! I love the autumn, followed by snuggly nights in during the winter!

As for the 'C' word.... I can't wait for that either, I'm a big kid and love every minute of it. :o)
I banned Christmas. B*gger, mentioned it again.

Actually I dont mind this time of the year, but I do prefer summer
It's b100dy cold.... and going to get colder. The only good thing about winter/autumn is that the wasps die out... to be replaced by giant house spiders seeking warmth. Roll on summer.

As for 'that' word... Bah humbug.

Reading that back I'd say that I'm negatively effected by the autumn/winter months... ahem.

OOOOHH I love it . Windy weather, crunchy leaves, mugs of hot soup, mulled wine, scarves, snuggles with the kids ...and with Mr L, of course !!
I just wish we could get a decent snow here, just like the days of nicking my mum's tray from the kitchen to sled down the park! - we we're so hard done by!!
(que the violins)

China - did kind of get the impression that it wasn't your favourite !!
Yeah.... erm, sorry about that.... mini rant over! Lol.

On the plus side, I can now get the knee highs out, I prefer the fashion and I like the colour red that the leaves go.... see, I can do positive if I think about it. Just adversly effected by the end of the BBQ and drinking outdoors thing!

Lore.♪♫♫♪♪♪♫ :-)
We still use fertilizer bags for sledging !!
Cheap and fast !
whoo hoooOOOoo!

I recognise that script... we wish you a merry bleep bleep, we wish you a merry bleep bleep.....

larkin - how on earth do manage to do the little music notes??

Pink - can you keep a secret ?
I like Autumn, think its a lovely season although i prefer summer!!

I just find it incredibly hard to get up in the mornings when its cold outside :o(
It is about 25 degrees here in sweltering Lancashire or it will be today, therefore it all seems so surreal! I love Autumn, my birthday is Halloween and it was before ever there was all this Halloween hype and trick or treating, the damn Yankees brought us that!

I am looking forward to a cosy warm winter as i have had the open lounge converted and I now have a very smart hallway with mood lighting and it will mean we are so much warmer this winter, and spend less on the central heating. We just are not sure now where the Christmas Tree will go, we have a huge one every year but now it will not be as impactive at the foot of the stairs because of the new hall, but I will sort that out I guess. Actually larkin i didn't realise how much i was looking forward to it all. TY for that!
oh yes larkin - nobodys listening!!
A woman keeping a secret.........lol

Sorry!!!
ahem dotty loiters
Question Author
No probs Dot - I am looking forward too. Can't abide people who go all miserable and moan about dark nights and the cold. Put another jumper on and buy yourself a torch says I !!
