Drugs on a plane
6 Answers
My friend is giving herself a weekly injection of Enbrel (she has Ankolysing Spondelitis) and the drug must be kept refrigerated. She has just been told that Continental airlines won't refrigerate the drug when she flies over here next week.
All I can think of is that she asks her doctor to issue her a prescription for two doses, and the prescription is in her name c/o my address and FAO my Doctors address and hopefully we could get it here (although I understand Enbrel is in short supply in the UK)
Any other suggestions how to keep her treatment ongoing as if Enbrel has to be refrigerated and that can't be done on a plane then I don't think she can bring hers with her.

There's 2 flights, one from Missouri to New York, the waiting time there then a plane from there to here. My friend leaves at 1.30pm on Friday and will be here at 9am on Saturday. Not sure anything would keep cold that long in a cold bag.
