I personally am 100 % mumsiness and my children are more important than anything. Now its not like at full term when a mum can be there for her child, she would not be able to physically car for the baby. Maybe going through something so damned traumatic bought her and her husband together and they really felt like they needed to get married.

She may not be able to physically care for the baby as its it SCBU but Im of the opion that the babies still gain a lot just from hearing a mothers voice when in such an enviroment, its been a comfort to them for so long in the womb.

....being the reason why I said physically. Lots of mums of babies on neonatal units go home on the same day.

I couldn't leave the baby, not for anything. I think it is very, very, selfish. Fancy arranging to get married so near the birth anyway. Why not wait and then have the baby with you at your wedding, we are not in victorian times now! And she could have still been a hypocrite and married in white.

Personally.. if it was me and I was assured the baby was ok.... I think I'd have run off to get hitched but been back at his bedside straight after the 'I do's'... I might have had one quick dance but I couldn't have stayed longer than need be at all. I would have wanted to get married but think of all the money you lose... !

Im sure they were hoping that 6 months gestation would be far enough away from the birth for the wedding to go ahead. I have no problems with them getting married when pregnant or even when child has been born, I just cant understand why anyone could do it 12 hours after the birth of the baby, let alone a premmy

ruby, one call to all the newspapers and i reckon they wouldve been able to fund a delayed wedding :)
Theres a woman local to me who went to the press saying her kid was bright but she couldnt afford a private education and someone actually coughed up for it for her!
