I presume you are talking about a contraceptive pill? I think there are also certain brands that you cannot take if you smoke.

And breast cancer... due to smoking and drinking, several doctors were very reluctant to put me on the pill, so I have asked for the jab contraceptive.... although now i'm single, i've chosen to simply come off it.

I must add that there is also a history of breast cancer in my family so don't get too worried!

I love smoking, i wouldnt like to quit it because of the contraceptive, or i should just reduce, 10 fags a day or sth.

If you smoke you are at a greater risk of ill health - both in the long term (lung cancer and so on) and the short term (asthma, bronchitis).

I can't understand why you are worried about taking the pill while you are prepared to carry on smoking.

Get sterilised. That will solve the problem for you, and you won't ever have to worry about smoking during pregnancy.

Surely your GP asked you if you smoked and advised you of all risks (not just from smoking) when on the pill?

lithuanian,,,,,,,,,,, i know deep down you know smoking is harmfull but it would have been nice if posters were a bit more sympathetic to you today, i suspect you are quite young and if you can you should without a doubt stop smoking give it a try you never know you may not miss it as much as you think good luck.

If you definately cant give up, when you go to the doctor for pill check or to be put on pill then They will take not and put you on the better pill for this, although less risk still a risk.
