I know its a pain, my husband is diabetic and has to restrict the amount of fruit he eats. Last time he was in hospital the diet police confiscated all his grapes etc, and left him with some granny smith apples! Not much fun.
You could always try buying the packs of sliced fruit etc. I know its more expensive but the nutritional info on the label will help you work out what the sugar content is, unlike fresh fruit which has no guidelines.
