I'm a natural light blonde and my hair is usually long, but years ago I invested in a couple of funky wigs, both dark brown. One was long straight hair with a heavy fringe and looked lovely on, but I found I had to wear lots more make-up and even a different perfume to carry it off. It was very strange really because it was like being a different person. I found whenever I wore it that I got attention from a very different sort of man. Usually ones who took me more seriously!!
I also once had my hair cut into a gamine crop, and do you know I noticed most of all? I stopped getting wolf whistles from white van man when I walked down the street!!!! My hair was lovely, but at a distance I wasn't your stereotypical blonde anymore. I felt rather rejected actually. haha!
