Pregnancy test question

How many days do you have to leave it before a pregnancy test is reliable? 3 or 4 days?does it depend on the time of the month?Any extra info appreciated

some tests can give a positive result before the due date of period but they are not very accurate (51% one company claims)

The test works by sensing the amount of pregnancy hormone in your urine. Obviously the further along the pregnancy is the more hormone is present and the easier it is to detect.

If your periods are very regular then you should get a pretty good result within the first week after period was due.

Pregnancy tests also have leaflets ~ in fact most of them have the instructions on the back of the box. This will tell you when you can do the test :o)

Apparently it is best to wait until your period is actually due. the longer you leave it after then the better. It is also better to test yourself first thing in the morning.
