anybody got any hints. I am newly married and can't sleep as my husband is extremely restless and wakes me up 4 05 or so times a night. this obviously is causing huge problems and separate beds is not a long terms solution. please can anyone help? don't know if a tempura style mattress woudl make a difference?
If your husband is restless to the point that he has restless leg syndrome, a tempura mattress will be no good at all. He will constanly be waking up, struggling, and will be worn out.
I have never been able to share a bed because I am a very light sleeper and find seperate rooms means a happy marriage.
Hi, The answer is simple, and I know as I've done it. Get a King Size bed and put two seperate matreeses on it (single ones of course). That way he can toss and turn as much as he likes and it won't disturb you. My husband is the same and since chaniging beds it's now bliss. Also it means tat you can get two single quilts on one bed so he can roll over in his and leave you yours.
The thing is not to get all worked up up about 'being together' because the time you are asleep you are asleep. What you can do is either cuddle up and go to sleep with him and then slip out to a separate bed and get a good night's sleep and then slip back again for kisses and cuddles in the morning and not let it affect your marriage .. or follow some of the suggestions above. At the end of the day if he is waking you all the time then you are just going to be tensed up and miserable. You could try separate beds pushed together ...... it is the intimacy between you while you are awake which is important and I think the problems you describe are very very common.
