An icecube held against the bite helps.
Porridge oats in a sock in my toddler's bath helped with her chickenpox. Probably not worth it if you've only got 1 bite though.
Yes xyzzy - witch hazel is a tried and tested remedy.

The 'jelly' from a huge Aloe Vera plant was applied to a spider bite on my arm in Florida, years before it became popular in this country - so naturally that would be my first choice. Tea Tree is ok, but in my opinion, not as effective.

a couple of spoons of bicarbonate of soda in the bath helped my son when he had chicken pox - so on a smaller scale maybe soak a bit of cotton wool in some solution and apply to affected area!

I am one of those who are particularly tasty to biters. I find Liz Earle Sunshade Lavender Cooling Gel helpful, also a dose of antihistamine (hay fever type) treatment can generally reduce the irritation if you are covered in bites
