I was going to say the same but then I realised that you don't actually look at the keyboard when you touch type. So it has to be something wrong with the eyes!
Touch typing is the definition of typing without looking down at the keys, or copy typing involving reading a letter and typing what you read as you go along - something us PAs do often hence the typing exams taken called RSAI & II in secretarial college. I am currently doing a stenography course of which touch or copy typing is an absolute requirement obviously.
