How do you pack your supermarket shopping?

Does anyone have a method for packing supermarket shopping?
E.G I pack all cold stuff in one bag, tins in another, bottles together, cleaning stuff together, plus heavy stuff on bottom of bag, lighter more crushable stuff on the top.

The reason I ask is that I have noticed that when supermarket checkout staff offer to help you pack, they lob any old thing in so you end up with bleach on your bread, cold stuff with toilet rolls etc.

Secondly, if you do have a 'method' for packing, was it yoru mother who taught you?

Thirdly, is this a 'girl' thing, like learning to draw the curtains when it gets dark and you put the lights on?

I just growl at supermarket staff now if they try & help me pack lol

Dont think its a girl thing though because my bf is careful when he packs as well.

All the fridge stuff together

Freezer stuff together

cupboard stuff

then the rest....

But I can put some of the fridge stuff with the freezer stuff if I run out of room

It`s even worse when its the brownies or some other organization doing it. Then you pay for the privledge of squashed food.

I do it the same as you. I am so fussy when it comes to packing the bags

I hate it someone else does it thy never do it right and I moan like mad at them.

I hate checkout staff packing ine i want to grab itoff them and shout NO NO NO your not doing it right.

I used to pack people stuff when I did once as Id expect to have it packed mysef, it aint rocket science.

I just fill the bags up as the items come through,load em in the car, dump them in the kitchen then let Mrs Elvis unpack them, if she moans about it, I tell her they done it

Yep same as you Vanna, oh I don't think it's a girl thing.....just common sense.....but in Elvis's case maybe not ;-p

When my b/f comes shopping with me, he does what you do.....Before we even get out of the shop I've rearranged the shopping, by which time he's standing in the car park with the boot open..with that man look on his face...."hurry up woman"......

No not seen the man in Edge Lane recently. Maybe because I came up with the theory he's linked with the Hindu church nearby? Maybe I've ruined the spell and now cannot see him? Or, maybe I've just had too much of a lie in on a Wednesday and cannot be ars*d driving past that early just in case!
