Pack everything that you don't need. Then when the time comes to move, you will have much less to do.x
start by packing up the least used rooms like spare bedroom and then clear out storage cupboards and garage etc.

Then a week or two before the move start on the rest and clear a room a day. Youll be so busy you wont notice that the rooms are emptying

I recently moved a lot of my personal stuff from my flat (havnt lived there in 16 months) ready to rent it. It took me 2 solid days and i wasnt even sorting out stuff as i packed it so itll be even worse when i have to unpack.
hi pinkfizz try not to get yourself in a rut i no it can be stressfull but look at it as ''a new home,a new start'' just do each day as it comes and like katie said pack the things u dont need then nearer the time have a couple of days packing.
good luck in your new home xx
"Losing track of everyboy"!!!!!

They should be the last thing on your mind if your moving LOL ;-)

I second Katie + red's slant on it, do it all gradually, as you say it can be (or is) the most stressful time.....

Good luck

Hi pinkie,

Don't forget to mark all the boxes, which room they go in etc,and take the teapot, kettle etc with you in the car,cos you will want a cuppa soon as you get there, now get off of here and start packing, go on go, xx
Or... to make it more fun when you come to unpacking, mark up all the boxes incorrectly so that they end up in the wrong rooms. That's a laugh a minute.

Fake your own kidnapping a couple of days before, thus leaving all your family/friends to do the move for you. Then you can turn up a day after the move claiming to have amnaesia. Nobody would ever question that.

Genius I tells ya. :o)
Hi...and be brutal...chuck out everything you don't need or use. I had one pile for me, one for the charity shop and one for the bin...... it makes un-packing a pleasure.

wish Id asked you for advice before doing my flat divegirl lol

Hi guys!

Well I have been clearing out the wardrobes and sending unwanted stuff to the charity shop, and I have also started to put a few bits in the local auction - may as well get a few pennies rather than just throw stuff away!

Just forgot how much work was involved!
I used a website called the moving service which is free and has a calender to follow, pack all non essentials and label clearly each box and its content, I got lazy and just wrote the room which caused havoc!
