One of the 'dentists' said to use superglue, as it was not harmful. Not sure about this my grandfather then rang a dental technician to ask his advice. He was shocked that they had told him this as there is a trace of a deadly poison (not sure if it is cyanide) and if he applied too much could very easily ingest it, and become ill. I queried this with the pharmacist at Boots, and she was equally amazed that this so called 'dentist' had said it was safe.
At one time, I was susceptible - because of a form of psoriasis - to having the skin on my fingertips split open. My GP recommended supergluing them closed and was even prepared to prescribe it, though in the end I just bought some. It worked a treat on many occasions...and I'm still here to tell the tale!
