Strange Time of the Year

Something that has occurred to me recently is that a lot of people, including myself, have been having a really hard time recently and have been feeling really down.

Personally I think there may be some strange supernatural influence a foot and we need the gorgeous Captain Jack Harkness to come to our rescue...swooon...or just stand there and look beautiful which would do for me ;)

On a more serious post, lets have a lovely post where we cheer ourselves and each other up and support each other through the crap times.

Jenna - you're such a sweetie. I have had a pretty cr@p year so far and I honestly don't know how I would have coped without you lot on AB. Always here for me.

Today the weather is deradful,wind is howling but I am glad to be alive.

Hi Jenna, Hi ray .. XXX to you both! I agree with you Jenna, we all need a bit of a lift. I think it is the grey, cold, damp weather that makes people feel a bit down. Perhaps we need to remember that there are people who are far less well off than we are, those fighting for their lives in hospital, living on the streets, those who have just lost loved ones etc etc. We are so lucky to be able to come on here from the warmth of our homes or offices (tsk, tsk! LOL), our tummies well cared for, our friends at the ready. I know we all struggle with various things in our lives, be it emotional, physical or financial issues, but at the end of the day ... many people are far worse off and have no voice to complain.

So, let's have a hot cuppa, read those wonderful jokes ray put on for us here and smile! Life really isn't as bad as it sometimes seems. My darling father used to say "Always focus on the positive in each day and you will never lose your smile!" He was right!

And as for you dear Jenna, ray is right - eat at least one healthy meal today!!! Like you, I am now writing down everything I eat, so maybe we can compare notes some time this evening. XXX :o)

Hello :)

I will i promise, i'm off to my friend's house in a bit and she's making me lunch. Her and her sister always spoil me rotten and make me feel really special.

I was going to stop over but her baby's teething and with me not having been too well i'm only going for the afternoon so will be back on later.

She's got my avon too so getting some goodies i can pamper myself with later :)

Have arranged to meet a friend on sunday for lunch too, in Harvey Nics so we can treat ourselves as we've both being having a rough time of late :)
