Having a discussion at work, I say you say it once at the begining of the month before 12, someone else says you say it 3 times whos right

3 times is correct and it must be the first words of the day that you utter, no good saying it after you said good morning or whatever.

I was always told that you had to say it 3 times upon waking up on the first day of a new moth. i always forget which is probably why Good luck is somewhat lacking from my life. Must try harder and tomorrow its the day to do it! .
