marina coil

Hi i have had the marina coil now for 4 months, i have experienced cramps, bleeding inbetween but also an upset stomach as any one else had problems with (the runs)!!!! since having it fitted thanks for any replys

i have very heavy periods and was told by my doc to have this fitted,a few of my mates have been on this one of them bleed all the time the other put on 2 stone and was very ill with it so i dont think ill bother

Hi Angelfish,
I had mine fitted in Feb. The first six months were quite bad with heavy continuous bleeding but no pain so I stuck with it. Now I can honestly say its the best thing I could have done. I don't have periods at all now.

Give it at least a year to see if it settles down.

I didn't have an upset stomach at all, but I have put on weight, but this could be a coincidence, I'm less active now than I was.
