This I assume refers to jellybaby's question yesterday where she got a right mauling from the moral minority for asking a perfectly sensible question. I don't see that she "took the p1ss" out of anyone's beliefs, she just asked a question and no you shouldn't answer with your own morals to the fore. either answer the question and be helpful or don't answer it.
Nox, we are destined to differ, but no problem. Around the same time you said you were happy for you and your wife to discuss your intimate sex life in public online with other ABers. As you wish, that is totally alien to me.
Moral Minority ? Well I will accept Moral, but not Minority.
And yes, if a question is posed in such a way as to raise moral issues but then to carp on when people address them, it is very weak and a pi$$-take to criticise them for 'not answering the question'

I have actually never said, Whiffey, that my wife and I are "happy to discuss intimate deatails of our private sex lives", I believe I said that my wife is calm, sensible and would not become enraged or hysterical at the thought that sex was being discussed after you implied that anyone who wasn't morally outraged at the idea was in some way of a lower standard than yourself. Slight difference in the spin you chose to put on it, however...
I think you just enjoy harping on and on about your flaming values which are repressive, morally repugnant actually in their desire to stifle other people's beliefs and so arrogant in your assumption that you and your Holy book's teachings are right that for those of us that do not agree it makes very unpleasant reading. It is not illegal to sleep with someone married to another person, so who the heck do you lot all think you are to judge and denigrate others in the way you do? Even your God warned you against doing that, but you still go right on and do it... Let he who is without sin etc.
Why not just answer the question or leave it alone?

I think if its a factual question, then it deserves an accurate answer. If it's a question asking for opinions or suggestions then of course people are likely to give all sorts of personal thoughts and advice ... not all of them will necessarily be what the poster may want to hear.
Its hard to keep personal feelings aside when answering some questions, but the the poster would not get so defensive either if criticism/ sarcasm were kept to a bare minimum or not used at all
