I went on it Pink, wasn't gory at all, bit sad at the end when they showed a family talking about the loss of a loved one, but other than that no problem at all, you didn't have to speak unless you wanted to, and there was some bright spark on mine who wanted to talk ALL the time, hand up for every question type, a huge cross section of people too, ranging from an 18 year old to a lady that was 72 :o)
Oh and they give you a copy of the Highway Code at the end lol, and a keyring with the slow down sign on it!
Pink ,<stern voice>
Have you been naughty and pressing the pedals too hard??
Did it work though suzy? Would you say it is effective ?
Well I haven't been flashed by a camera since lol, I did buy a Road Angel after the 2nd time of getting caught in the same place though so maybe that's why :o)....quite honestly and yes I know I shouldn't have been over the speed limit, but, if you get offered a course, do it, the removal of 3 points rather than the addition of 3 has to be an incentive, and seriously it wasn't a chore. I sound like a naughty speed merchant now don't I, but I was doing 32 in a 30 and 33 in a 30 honest M'Lud!
whaaat ?
all that tax payers money wasted for the sake of 2mph?
that's criminal !
what tax payers money? I had to pay to go on the course lol, it was about the same as the fine would have been, they did provide tea and biscuits tho :o)
ok - take it back suzy !
and the key ring, and the highway code.......come on now, you got those too ! lol
Thats what happens when you move to a place with decent roads Pink.
No chance of speeding here with all the tractors etc on roads lol
don't forget the shake of the police mans hand and the road traffic man too....I feel spoilt now lol...and obviously very ashamed of my speeding. Won't happen again.
Well no, it obviously won't suzy because you cheat now !! LOL
Lol, nooooooooooo! I behave! Honest Guv, plus, I will never go past the cam that caught me ever again, I use a different route lol.
read this with interest i didnt know there was such a thing? is there something similar (or can you go on it ) for getting a fine and points for going through a red light?? i havent admitted it yet, but have just received the 'photographic evidence' and a blind man could tell its me in my car??

Sorry - have just got back!! Actually I was caught doing 36 mph in Norfolk in a 30 zone. They were very nice - learned a lot of interesting facts!!
but did you get your key ring Pink? lol....I became a bit of a road rule bore after for a while, especially about getting 3 points if youre caught going over a mini roundabout instead of round it lol...yaaaaaaaaawwwwn!
Do wonder sometimes. I hate speeding - I'm usually a pedestrian, and hate car drivers for their horrible selfishness, but how come footballers can get caught doing 112 in their Lexus and nothing happens to them, but someone gets done doing 32 mph in a thirty zone and they get loads of points?
In anticipation of being asked to define 'horrible selfishness' I would say -
not obeying highway code when if a pedestrian has started to cross a road before a car turns into it, the car needs to wait for the pedestrian... parking on pavements, jumping traffic lights at ped crossings, not stopping at zebra crossings.. list goes on really but I swear it's a dangerous game walking in urban places.
