Is it too late to send them? I have been away over the christmas and new year period so not had the time. Also not been well when i did get home. I have thanked the relatives already in person or by phone. So should i write letters and is it too late? thanks
ok then. But i worry it looks strange sending a letter to relatives, like i think its ok to send one to my old nan or grandad but myu aunt and uncle, my counsins would see and think its strange. Well maybe why i think its strange cos they never send thank you letters to me (my cousins that is) or my parents - their aunt and uncle.
I am all for thank you letters (even asked here about receiving them) it's never too late. If you have the good manners to do what some of your family don't think about then just be yourself and start a precedent. I think everyone likes to receive a thank you even if they can't be bothered to send one themselves.
it should be fine just dont ask if they had a nice christmas or new year as i was told of a secret law yesterday from raysparks and yesterday was the last day you can ask!!!
and surly its better to be thought of as strange rather than rude!!xxxx
No, its not too late, I sent one today. There is nothing more bad mannered when you look around for ages for a present and the person doesnt even thank you in person never mind a note. When my kids were younger I always got them to write a note to everyone who got them presents.
