The power of tea.
48 Answers
The power of a cup of tea is amazing. It rehydrates the body as well as water and the goodness it is packed full of can protect against heart disease. Tea also contains fluoride which is great for teeth. But what is even more astonishing is the way a cup of tea can handle a crisis or counteract a stressful day. Tea breaks are a God send to the stressed worker, an enjoyable beverage when friends come round; some people even find it difficult to start their day without a cuppa. What is it about a good cup of tea that is so good? Why is it when life gets tricky the tea bags are reached for?

A: I don;t drink tea and so i havn't had a good cup of tea for a long time, a good cup of coffee has the same effect on me personally.
Q: why is it when life gets tricky the tea bags are reached for?
A: Isn't it a bit of a contradiction to think that a good cup of tea constitutes reaching for the tea bags? If so Fortnum and Masons are wasting their time.

You say that, I do not mind goats milk at all. And goats cheese, mmmm lovely.
However, sheeps milk is foul. It actually tastes like lamb. Don't get me wrong, I am partial to a roast mutton, but lamb flavoured milkshake is no a no-go.
Without doing a google search can anybody add to my list of teas::
1) Breakfast
2) English
3) Yorkshire
4) Earl Grey
5) Assam
6) Chinese Green
7) Dajeleen

Toasted goats cheese is very good, especially with cranberry jelly.

Tea is the most commonly consumed beverage in the world after water. Whether it is black, green or red (oolong) tea, they all contain polyphenols which give tea its antioxidant properties. Antioxidants may help protect our body from free radical damage. Indeed, tea ranks as high as or higher than many fruits and vegetables in the ORAC score, a score which measures antioxidant potential of plant-based foods.
Benefits of Tea
Numerous studies have demonstrated the anti-cancer properties of polyphenols. Some studies indeed suggested that tea's polyphenols may reduce risk of gastric, esophageal and skin cancers if one consumes 4 to 6 cups daily. Other laboratory studies have found that polyphenols help prevent blood clotting and lower cholesterol levels. A recent study published in December 2005 showed that just 2 cups of tea may lower the risk of ovarian cancer by 46 percent in women.
The more processing tea leaves undergo, the darker they will turn. Green tea is the least processed tea. They are simply steamed quickly. Black and red teas are partially dried, crushed and fermented. Regardless of the processing method, all teas contain polyphenols.
I personally don't drink black tea. I don't mind the odd cup of fruit infusion type, but coffee is my thing.
Is it not true also that ingesting too much fluoride is bad for a persons health? http://www.npwa.freeserve.co.uk/genetic.htm
Are you being sponsored by a tea company asking this question? Free tea bags in the office for a year?

Here is a little poem I just penned about tea.
Tea, tea
Makes you wee
If you drink it more cups than three
I prefer mine in a mug
And I want Nigella Lawson to hug
I do not take sugar
But like lots of milk
And coffee
Is not really my ilk.
When its cold I like my tea
Yipee, yipee, yipee
A nice cup of tea.
Is this the unfunniest post I have EVER posted?
