hi hun! sorry you are feeling rough x try any of the honey and lemon cough medicines, the thick syrupy ones they tend to coat your throat quite well and help to relieve the tickle, and prop your bed up at the head end a bit so you sleep at a slight angle as opposed to flat. hope it gets better soon xXx
I am just getting over man flu, and I have been left with this tickly irritation at the back of my throat, ,I have found that Strepsils will stop it, get the one ones with anaesthetic in them, get them in any chemist, they will deaden it! works a treat!!

Good luck!!

many thanks posy jo, will try that!
I am unable to use most over the counter cough/cold meds. It was suggested that I use RICOLA cough lozenges. They are excellent for that tickle & also help sore throats. I`ve always got a packet by the bedside.
Forgot to say, they`re available from health shops & possibly large chemists
Awww poor thing, I can use many of the shop bought ones as something in makes me throw it back up but have aways found Covonia brilliant especially for at night.

Someone gave me some cough drops too, a little bottle where you drop a couple in some warm water and drink, they're fab too.

Hi you need pholcodine it is a cough suppressant and in many of the OTC remedies like benilyn etc. or you can buy it own brand as it is. Not for asthmatics though. It is brilliant at stopping a dry tickly coughs you can get it as a pastile too.
