My mother recently had an operation on her eye for a cateract and isn't pleased at all, she said she can see a shadow on the outside edge of her eye. Has anyone else had trouble.

if she follows all the after care she has been advised to take, i would imagine her vision will clear.
if it doesnt, she should go see her GP or surgeon that did the operation..
i dont imagine any optical surgery to be 100% though..

I also just had cateract surgery after macular hole surgery (in August 2008.)Surgery altho quicker was a bit painfull blamed on the fact that I d had the previous op-perhaps thats why t hey do the cateract surgery 1st in USA.24 hours later I have 50 % vision.Being severely shortsighted I will be put on the list to have the other eye done next year.
