Hiya any ideas of any good spot creams? Ive tried quinoderm, freederm, benzoul peroxide and clearasil stuff and none of them help :(. Any suggestions appreciated thanks
Yep I agree plain old water is best, and if youre a girl keep you face clear of any make up for a while, may be easy for me to say and I know you probably want to hide your spots, but try this and if they dont clear up go to doctors, they may be able to recommend tablets or some hormonal replacement.
Simple soap and water and if your skin is oily use clearasil lotion. a good diet too will obviously help a long way in preventing spots. My teenage years were plagued by spots.... but they went away eventually :-)
have tried all kinds for years & nothing really worked that well. recently bought some lancome cleanser toner & moisturiser (pure focus range) & has gone completely- no sign of a single blemish in 6 weeks.
i beleive now the more chemicals you keep slapping on the worse it gets. try products from the same brand as they work together instead of against each other. can be a bit pricey though.
Thanks a million folks- much appreciated- big mucho stars for everyone ! No probs about interrupting crete- Im spk- but got a new username *waves to everyone* :0)
Hi. I find antisepic cream works wonders! Just your ordinary tesco/boots/superdrug etc. costs about 99p for a tube. Have tried all the expensive one but antiseptic cream does the very same job!
I dont have any advice on products to use, but one tip my dermatologist told me was to NOT wash your face too often. Once in the am and once in the pm. Over washing causes your pore to produce more oil which in turn causes the pores to clog forming more pimples/spots. If you have acne then you need to see a dermatologist. Use over the counter mild pimple cleansers and spot treatments, and dont forget to use a non comnogenic(SP? doesn't clog pores) moisturizer because as i said if the skin is dried out it will produce more oil compounding the pimple problem. If you are female and wear make-up/foundation then make sure it is an oil free water based formula.
How severe are your spots? Im guessing those who are suggesting soap and water have never suffered from acne? I have suffered from acne for years and was on Dianette (oral contraceptive) which really helped but had to come off it for health reasons. My acne is back with a vengence my chest, shoulders, neck and back as well as my face :( I have recently purchased Acne Response 3 step program from Loreal, got it on ebay from the states though as it is not available here yet. It is really making a difference.
