Hi vodkagal2k7. I didn't find out I was pregnant until I was 3 months gone with my first child and my periods were regular so yes, you can have periods whilst being pregnant. I have a friend who didn't find out she was pregnant until she was 8 months gone and her cycle was normal. I would suggest doing another pregnancy test tho, as the first one showed negative.

thanks for the answer, i have taken bout 3 pregnancy test and they all show negative, do you think i should see my gp
I'd say your definitely not pregnant. Have you seen ur GP about you and ur partner trying to get pregnant?
Forgot to say that although I did have periods whilst I was pregnant, I never actually took a test during the three month period, so in answer to your actual question yes you can have a period whilst pregnant but it wouldn't say negative if you were pregnant.

Hi everyone hope you all ok i am new too this,

I have been having all kinds of pregnancy symptoms i,e idegestion, heartburn, sickness, sore/swollen breasts and plenty more, I went to the doctors as im not even late or due until 2 weeks yet doc thinks i am pregnant i have to wait until first day of period due to take a test as HCG is stronger.

But im also having bleeding now which is quiet heavy but no pains and breasts are still swollen and having lower back pain now, Like i say im not due till another 2 weeks and i am never early, My mum had periods for four months with me, Does that mean im more likely too ?

This morning i noticed alot of veins green & blue ones around my breasts they are very noticeable and there is more then 6 of them some quiet long too, I am confused now as all the symptoms & veins are all signs in early pregnancy, Do you think i am actually pregnant ?, Please help and i wish everyone the best xx

I am 21 I have found out i am 4 months pregnant i have regular periods and took a test which came back negative before i found out i phoned NHS Direct cus i was getting pains in my belly a nurse said she was a mid wife and told me i was not pregnent cus i was on my period regularly.
Yes you can people that say otherwise don't know what they are on about, actually I fell pregnant had my normal periods every month with all the pains and cramps included so it wasn't just spotting or anything like that, when my belly started to get bigger I took about god knows how many pregnancy tests went to the doctors and it was all negative until when I was nearly 8 months pregnant and they decided it was best for me to go for a scan as they thought it could be some kind of tumor and for my surprise and theirs aswell it was a baby and I had my normal periods and the normal things that come with it each month up until the end of my pregnancy.
