Its my big brothers first wedding anniversary next month and want to get the pair of them something really special. Apparently its tradition to get something 'paper' related for the first year. If anyone has any inspiring ideas i could do with some help! I am on a budget of around 50 though so this may be a problem!
Oooo thats not a bad idea! I shall look in to that one, thanks ever so much redcrx. Had another thought about tickets to a day spa, i know my sister-in -law would love this but how do you think i bloke would take it...???x
what about an album that they can use to chart all their future "firsts" together eg first house, first car, first baby, first grey hair etc etc etc
They could put photos, ticket stubs, hair cuttings etc into it and it would be nice to look back on every now and then (or pass onto kids)
For 50 quid you could buy the album and have their names printed on the front of it.
i firmly believe that anniversaries should be celebrated between the couple only and you dont need to buy presents. Its their anniversary between their marriage and the celebration is personal to them
You could get them a Newapaper for the day that they got married, if I remember you can choose from quite a few and they come in gift boxes aswell, just type in OLD NEWSPAPERS into your browser and you will see lot to choose from.
badgerchops - I sort of agree with you, but I generally send an anniversary card for the first anniversary, the next one they get from me is for their silver anniversary!
