For a person of 45 years of age. Is it unusual to have bowel move once a day. Should it be more like twice a day indicating a healthy clean colon? And does sodium phosphate entirely cleanse the colon as described on the bottle. Does it in fact clean as an irrigation would from a medical office.

not everyones bowels are similar, just be allerted for any change, ie . constipation or diarrhoea
You are being influenced too much and worrying unnecessarily.

Some people open their bowels once a day, other more often and others less often.

Bowels are not meant to be cleaned - they do their job perfectly well!

Irrigation is totally unnecessary - and can be very harmful.

If you are healthy, eat a varied diet then don't give your bowels a moments thought.

Ethels post above is spot on....some people poo 3 times a day, some people poo 3 times a month....as long as it's normal and doesn't vary for too long....and you have a good, healthy diet, there's nothing to worry about.

I can go for weeks having a poo at 6am as soon as i get to work....then, it'll change to every eveing for a few weeks.....then back to the the first one etc.....as long as you have a regular cycle....there's nothing to worry about
