This is basically the main thing my partner has said to me over the weekend.

Makes me wonder, does your gf/bf ask you to get up and get things for him/her.

When both of us are reclining back on the sofas why is it he expects me to jump up and serve him?

because you probably always have done and you still do. You should have nipped it in the bud from the first time he said it. Fair enough if you're near something and he's asked you to pass it, but I'd tell him he can get his own god damm drink and feed himself, he's not a toddler!!

You are right - I have done it before and still do, how stupid am I, this man gets me running rings for him, never did it before in my previous two relationships, he is so manipulating its untrue.
just so no >
maybe even.. say no
Question Author
trouble is knows I do it for a quiet life, I have never been able to say no to him, hate myself for it.
why do you think you do it with him then liquid?
My boyfriend used to do this all the time....

He has slowly learned that he should only ask me if there is a reason for me to get something rather than him (i.e. i'm nearest to object!).

But it did take a few arguments and a lot of discipline for it to get to this stage lol.
Just say 'fancy a cup of tea/coffee/beer' if he says yes say 'get me one while your there' there's a good lad!!!!
U have to be strong otherwise he'll walk all over you in all aspects of your relationship....
tell him not to be so lazy and to get it himself, thats what i'll say to my fella if he even dreams of asking such a thing.
Question Author
He already has walked all over me in all aspects but we wont go there. I think I do it because it has always been that way. He has a job where people run around for him and I guess he brings it home with him.
he's walked over you because you've let him. You've said you didnt do it with other bfriends so you know you can do it, tell him where to stick it.

While Ive got a few people's attention can I ask another question, does it bother you if your bf masturbates while you are out or at work? My bf is doing so right now and he knows I cant stand him doing that.
really up to him, if thats what he wants or needs to do let him.
if he does it while you are out, how do you know?

Most guys do it, wheres the problem?
My dad, much as I love him, does expect my mum to do loads for him and it annoys the hell out of me. You have to break the habit because if you don't you could spend the next 26 years moaning about doing it like my mum has.

Although saying that I do try it with my boyfriend now and then but he's never very obliging!
and hey at least he doesnt ask you to do THAT for him :-)
Question Author
ah but I wouldnt mind doing THAT for him! Thats the thing, he knows he can with me whenever he likes but he seems to prefer his right hand. I know because I had to phone him at home for something and I could tell he was. We were arguing last night and he said that that is what he would be doing all day today (to wind me up), I could tell when I spoke on the phone because he was v quiet and couldnt wait to get me off the phone. He is down and that is what he does when he is down.
BIG sympathy on your first question liquid !!!!!!!!!

On your second one, does he know you know he's doing it now ? And do you think he would like you to go and join him and that's why he's doing it, or is he hiding it from you ?
x x
dont let him know hes winding you up.

He treats you like his personal butler, has a habit you hate, you argue and he does things deliberately to wind you up.

Why are you even a couple????
