The Proclaimers' number 1 hit has inspired an Italian man to walk 500 miles both ways to visit his girlfriend. The man is hoping that the gesture will help to ease the tension in the relationship caused by an argument. Have you ever done anything out of the ordinary in the name of love? What's the weirdest thing you've ever known anyone do for love?

There is a romantic in me. I once woke up at about 2am and really missed the girl I was seeing, so I got dressed cycled over to her house which was about 5 miles away, and called her to say that I was outside. When she opened the door I said that I had just missed her not being there, and wanted to kiss her. So I kissed her, and said that I felt better. Then cycled back home (it would not have had the same affect to stay).

That might be out of the ordinary and bordering on the weird...
