I have just got back from my local club ,I am a minor official there, i was just about to go home at 11.30pm when i was told that the organist who plays downstairs for the sequence dancing had had his front left wheel nicked from his car , his wife was in bits so i thought the least i could do was help them as much as i could, the person who is the chairman came and said that they were going home regardless of the situation , i spent 1and a half hours taking a nut from each wheel so as to get them back on the road ,the spare was flat and would not come off its bracket ,i am now filthy dirty and knackered , im do not get paid for doing this and i was happy to help them but feel i am being taken advantage of does anyone agree or am i being a big girls blouse?

ye or he could tell anyone that he does not know at all that just because he is given a tip by them that it does not mean that it will win ,after all is said and done you could have just stuck a pin in the list of runners and posted that here .how would he ever know. of course i am not saying you did that ELVIS68 i am sure that your tip was based on pure science and form(again i am joking ).
grumpii , our theory is that if they take one wheel then the car will be left for the night, we then thought that if we take one nut from each wheel we could put these on the missing whell and then the car could be driven home (this is an old remedy) however we found that the wheel that was under the car was not the wheel from the car but one that had been put there just for the sake of it , so we then needed to get the spare so as to put that on the car but typically it was underneath the car in a bracket and would not budge ,we were at the back of the club in the pitch dark so now you can begin to see our problems ,anyway we got a torch after some time and put wd40 on the spare wheel bracket we then got the spare but it was flat we then managed to get a pump off a neigbour so in the end the car was ok for the road , the worst thing is that the people who done it came back and when they saw us they pretended that they were completly inocnet and we just had to swallow there crap, excuse spelling
Or better still, use your doormen to give them a lift home
