I have very bad long sighted vision, would love to get them fixed but was told that laserfix would mess up my eyes, anybody know otherwise?

i know 5 people who have had it done and they are so pleased and no problmes. one girl had stingy eyes for like an hour or so after but otherwise fine. I guess there must be some risks but i think they are minimal...
