It must be an autopilot kind of thing, part of your brain is still driving, taking bends and junctions whilst another part of your brain is thinkinhg about life, family, what to cook for tea, whatever.
Hello confused!
I don't know about driving, but sometimes I sort of switch on while I'm walking the boys to school, and think "where are we, have I done everything?" I have to check I've got lunchboxes, homework, door keys, clothes on, contact lenses in, that the boys have got coats on, clean teeth etc etc the list goes on...!!! So our whole morning routine has been automatic and I've barely registered what's been happening.
One morning I'll be at the school gates with my slippers and pyjamas on, blind as a bat with no lenses in, carrying the kettle and a tennis racquet, boys dressed as pirates and someone will have to lead me away for a quiet chat ....(and you've got TWICE as many children as me - you must be twice as bad!!) x

I know exactly what you mean, lol
for instance i have so much going on in my head in the mornings too, i might say to my sons okay get your pyjamas on, when i meant uniform on, (which lay out for them) then still have to remind them to get there socks and pants on!! then i nearly forget myself to get ready and i have to go to work!! so i would be horrified if i turned up at work not fully clothed or something which i reckon wouldnt be hard to do!!!!
loads of times i have driving to the school also and took the wrong turning thinking im going striaght to work!!! poor kids!! lol

Yes, I oftern wonder how I get from one room to the other sometimes! I can never remember what I went in there for in the first place!
I even turned up at work with one navy shoe & one black one on once. I was interviewing within the hour, so didn't have time to go home & change them. I kept my feet firmly under my desk instead! Sad!
