I know there are some miseries but generally if you give them a bit of time and make a few allowances they are as happy as the rest of us!!

Well put Ratter! Speaking for myself, I've never had any problems with or from "Oldies". In fact, I look up to them,don't forget they fought for us. My son in law works as a carer and one of the lady's has just died at the age of 103! She was kind,polite and would tell many tales of the past.,some amusing,some not but, she was loved by everyone at the home and will be missed. Just last week I played hell with the post office assistant who was actually shouting at a confused pensioner. They deserve our help not scorn!
