Relationships - taking them for granted
5 Answers
Yesterday I was grumbling about camping in the rain, Nat_84 pointed out I would be with Mr I, so it would be a good weekend regardless, she is SO right, and it made me think sometimes I take being in a relationship for granted. I'm probabaly not the only one out there to forget to "count my blessings". I'd like to do a few little things to make Mr I realise how much he means to me, any suggestions. Have you done anything unusual to remind your loved one how much they mean to you?

When our daughter arrived - and she's wonderful!
when we're out walking, baby in her pushchair and.... no holding hands :( I really miss that.
I sent an e-card to my fiance yesterday after saying something which was meant as a joke, something I've said on many occasion but never realised that, although he knew I was playing, it still hurt. - I still feel so bad for saying it :(
Could you buy a card - just a thinking of you.. write in all the special times you can remember etc just so he knows how much you appreciate what you have together. maybe add a little towards your future plans together?

Awww thats so sweet Miss! I also take my relationship for granted but i also think my fella does the same. As long as we're both happy that's the main thing.
My boyfriend really made an effort to look after me when i was ill last week - he made me breakfast and it was probably the worst porridge i've ever tasted in my life but i told him it was lovely just like the burnt pork strips he made me that evening - and i could tell he was so pleased and proud to be looking after me. Bless him. SO yeah it's the little things that makes us realise how much we love each other.
I think Lore's idea is pretty good. You dont need to do anything massive or expensive just something sentimental and meaningful.

I very much take my fella for granted!
He does the cooking and most of the cleaning, (although he says thats ok because i look after our pets!)
He drives me around, although it is in my car lol.
He says he does it because he loves me and wants to look after me!
I'm always telling him how much i love him though and couldnt bare to be away from him!
