another question about toes!

The little toe question got me thinking about my friend whose big toe isnt her big toe. I have met a few people who have a second toe that is bigger than their big toe. Is this really common cause it looks super odd (and not very pretty) to me.

Speaking as someone who sees up to 50 sets of toes a day! sometimes more, it isn't odd at all and is infact very common.lol

that sounds odd! My second toe is longer than the big toe, which I think is quite common, but no way is it as fat, it's less than half as big around. Does your friend ever dematerialise or seem to be in telepathic communication with a mother ship?

I've got normal toes like you Goodsoulette but my mum and all her brothers and sisters all have freaky elongated 2nd toes too. I'm lucky I got my dad's feet although mine are 3 sizes bigger than his. Weird huh?

Its quite common and is supposedly a sign of higher inteligence. :)

Although as this is a common trait, I doubt it!

hmmm just did a bit of googling apparently ancient greeks painted longer second toes and the egyptians painted longer big toes. So it looks like those of European descent might be more inclined to have longer second toes.

Those of you with longer second toes have mortons toe, the rest of us are NORMAL lol

oh and Dot, I dont hate or like feet but sometimes you see really gross feet and we all know they are minging ( my friend has webbed toes) but how often do you see really pretty feet?

Dotty I have just checked mine.

Now...Mr P has the longer second toe, but the rest graduate down to a 'normal' foot shape.

I also have the longer second toe (only slightly, not as much as Mr Ps) but the other two are almost the same length as the second, and the little toe is MUCH smaller..like a super mini toe!

This means my feet are practically square. Is this common?

Goodsoulette, I dislike feet..all feet tend to gross me out (apart from the kids feet..they are cute!).

I have feet like canal boats, with normal toes, biggest ones have about 10 hairs each on them and then they're bald all the way up to a hairy island in the middle at the top. I don't think they're particularly ugly, only when they get dry skin and start to go off a bit. Might explain my curly hair if we're of african decent and could also explain my mums pronounced forehead and monobrow.

Penelope next time you go and look in a shoe department, check out the design of the fronts, especially noticable in summer sandals or dressy strappy shoes, the front shape will be either square (or chisel) or curved, this is because there are indeed two standard toe shapes, curved and square. if you buy curved fronted sandals when you have a squared toe shape they will be all wrong and if you try on a square sandal and have a lovely graduating curve to you toes then the aquare front of the sandal will show too much sole.

My ex's brow was so pronounced he could perch his sun glasses on it. Of course as the years went on he resembled a monkey more and more and I weondered what I ever found attractive in him. In retaliation however, he told me my eyes werent close enough together!!

Oh I know Dot..I love the newer trend just recently..far more square shaped fronts than curved. The Skechers sandals fit me like a treat, and I don't have to walk around with my toes dragging on the ground!

I wish certain celebs would take a leaf out of that book. They end up with claw toes as they try and keep their feet in their shoes.

oh and there is a brill new product just launched by dasco this season, a gel cushion with a built in gel toe post! Just like the party-feet but with the gel toe post moulded into it, fabulous!
