Counting sheep {to go asleep}

Does it work then?
Who struggles to get a decent nights sleep, and who are the ones who go out like a light.
Whats your remedy for a good nights kip, i've just looked at Art & Literature on B&S, it will give the counting sheep theory a run for its money.

Hi laurence I won't go on like I did in your drugs thread! I couldn't stop typing. When I used to have trouble dropping off I used to do mental arithmetic in my head, like working out my income tax. Yes, boring but it worked.
Alternatively you could try mentally recalling Frank Lampards misses in the world cup, you'll probably drop off before you reach the end. Sorry mate, just joking. I better not tell you who I support!

I ususally sleep like a log as soon as my head hits the pillow - many years ago, I did have problems getting to sleep and what worked for me was to mentally say goodnight to you body from the toes up.e.g. relax each part of the body in turn - I never, even on the worst night got past my shoulders before I was away. Sounds daft I know, but give it a try - you don't realise just how tense your body is until you focus on it bit by bit - I think i eventually just got to the point where I knew how to relax as soon as I got into bed.
Hi Laurence, I have no problems sleeping these days, ever since I took up smoking spliffs before bed it hasn't been a problem, nah, I'm only joking! To be honest I only really smoke weed at festivals these days and since I stopped smoking it and started trying to imrove my health I've found it really easy to get to sleep. I have a good diet and cycle about 6 or 7 miles a day and that seems to do the trick. Before when I did smoke it or if I do then I invariably have trouble sleeping and even worse trouble waking up in the morning so I cut it out of my life.
