Cilest and spots!!
9 Answers
Hi everyone, Could anyone give me their views on if you have been on cilest pill and did it improve your skin or make itr worse??
I came off diannette in april, and went on to brevinor. During this time every single month of taking it I have been getting really large spots, which are more like lumps under the skin. My skin also feels very oily.
This morning I have been given cilest from the family planning, im a bit worried about taking it incase it makes my "eruptions"!! even worse. any one else had this pill that has bad skin before??
Thanks in advance xx

Hi, lauren! :o)
Before I began taking the pill I had great skin... then when I'd started, I was covered in spots! My GP put me on Dianette and it all cleared up (you know how it works!). I'm now on Cilest, too, and my skin remains fine. I have the odd hormonal spot at that time of the month, but nothing too bad.
Hope this helps. ws x

Thanks for the reply ws, I have decided not to take the cilest and have made an appointment to see my nurse on Monday!
I just dont think the lady at the family planning was actually listening to what I was saying!! lol!!
Im going to try and get the pill yasmine, which I have heard is very good but they are very reluctant to prescribe this because of the NHS costs.. Just wish I could be on dianette, it was the best pill ever for clearing up my skin!!
Thanks for your replys xx
