Don't know about the virgin mary, surely all we need is some woman who slept with someone other than her fiance before she got married, got pregnant and lied about it. That is much the same thing is it not - what a great get out clause - god slept with me. I bet there are hoards of teenagers out there who wished they'd thought of that first.
