I am doing the race4life and want to ask workmates for sponsor money. Would you find it cheeky if someone put a sponsor form up in their staffroom with a very nice note attatched, saying that I am raising money and am just asking for 20p per km each (1 max total) I want to raise money but am no saleswoman and hate asking and putting people on the spot. I thought if I said 1 max it would not put people off. What do you think, and please be honest (as if you wouldn't!)
I agree with Katie, don't put a maximum! Better still why don't you get your other female workmates to join you and do it as a team? The women at my work always do it as a team and we get the big cheeses in Head Office to donate money. Then get the male workmates to come and cheer you on, they'll love seeing so many women bouncing around! Or is that just the guys in my office?
Awww thanks all, you have reassured me 100%; like you say Elvis, nothing worse than having it thrust in your face.
Mr knowall thanks so much for your kind offer; I did have a look at the online form but didn't complete it - shall I put the details on this thread when I do (hopefully today or tomorrow)
I know it is quite unusual but I do not know anyone who has had cancer. I have a blank, pink piece of card to write names under of whom I am running for. This I am to wear on the race. If anybody has any names I will gladly add them : )
Hi sunflower
Well you can either put in on here or do another post id do another post if i was you.
Even if you only get a couple from AB every little helps...
As for the names i do have three who all have it very bad and have been told there is no more that can be done to help them.
Id rather not put there names on AB.
I will email you them to you if you email me [email protected]
Thanks mrk
