Period of time to wait to color after perm

I was just wondring how long I should wait to color my hair after perming it? Or do I really have to wait at all?

after about a week see if you can feel growth of rows of tiny new hairs where the perm rollers may have broken your hair at the root , if not, go for it,

at my salon we do one lady a perm, dry it off and then she has the colour, mind you, her hair is in terrible condition! if youre gonnna have both it doesnt really matter, condition wise , just that the perm will take the colour out so get that done first. Id recommend a week or so in between.
