I realised this morning that I spend a lot of time and money on buying the right make-up and beauty products, just so that I can apply my make-up perfectly to give me a flawless, natural look. It literally is an art form in its own right!!
I'm very lucky in that I can wear a lot of make-up but look like i'm hardly wearing any.
Does anybody else go to the same lengths to look like a natural beauty?
It's not the same look when you have no make-up on. It's capturing that 'glow' that you sometimes get naturally and recreating it with make-up.
Nope, I only wear make-up if I am going out, or for "special occasions"! Don't have time or inclination to sit at mirror every morning ensuring a flawless finish. Luckily my skin doesn't need much covering up. I am sure I would look far prettier with make up, but I just can't be @rsed!

Wash, moisturise, Clarins Beauty Flash Balm, a few bits of concealer, mascara and a bit of lippy. 2 minutes max!!! That's if going out!!! Otherwise zilch. I do have my brows and lashes dyed.
Yeah, I'm the same, I look better with make up on but can get away without any soI don't see the point of wearing it everyday. Like 4getmenot I like to actually look different when I am out to how I look sitting in the office.
Any woman who has a foundation 'tide line' and doesn't look flawless in the sun isn't buying the right foundation. The simple rule with make-up is: BLEND!!
I only recently started wearing foundation. I went through a phase about 4 months ago where I stopped wearing make-up to work and it was really difficult to look like a professional when my hair and make-up didn't match the look!! So I decided to turn over a new leaf and make a conscious effort. I invested in professional make-up brushes, got the right foundation for me, and wear natural colours that compliment my skin tone for a natural 'day' look.
I was using a lovely tinted moisturiser for a while but found that in the sunshine my face was becoming quite 'dewy' looking. I needed to even up, so now use a foundation which I make go a long way!! My freckles show, but the tiniest amount of foundation applied thinly with a brush gives me porcelain looking skin.
I never leave the house without some make-up on. Not in a Jordan, put on with a trowel effect but just enough so I feel happy about my skin. I have red blotchy skin which I am quite paranoid about so I put enough foundation on to cover it and then some mascara so that my eyes stand out a bit and some clear lip gloss for my lips. When I am going out or want something a bit special, I can then put on some eyeshadow, bronzer and lippie and look completely different.
Surely, even if you only use a light moisturiser, if you use it regularly you are stopping the skins pores performing their natural function?
I can understand you, however, wishing to look 'professional' in your job. One thing I could never do is look 'professional' and spend time doing it I just feel so uncomfortable being dressed up and made up, but must admit some women look terrific each day and I admire them for their effort but have never aspired to do the same.
