please I'm freezing, its not my fault one man in our office is too fat and sweats alot. I've got goosebumps :-( the toilets warmer I might go sit in there for a bit
Actually yes. All the ladies in the house (say hey-oh) tend to block the output fan heading their way with various bits of cardboard, plastic etc. This causes the system to become unbalanced and causes all the other units to increase output to maintain the standard air temperature.

The temp is set at a standard 22C throughout, and so in my team I have women moaning about their fan unit and blocking the outlets, and the rest of the team being blasted by arctic winds to make the balance.

Apparently cardigans are not in vogue this season.
It is a can of worms in my office too. I am always freezing. The problem is that i sit under a vent and although it doesnt sound too bad, try sitting under a vent having cold air blasting onto you for 8 hours a day. It is normally set to about 17 degrees and is freezing. I have tried moving desks (no spares) I have asked people to swap (and amazingly those that moan they are hot and want the air con on, dont want to sit under the vent either). So in the summer I freeze and in the winter I freeze. Sometimes my fingers are so cold I cant type.

I have started to retaliate now. I leave it on for as long as I can stand it (i have stages, first my cardy goes on, then my coat) and I am freezing with my coat on I switch the damn thing off.

I occasionally do an army roll across the office and go into stealth mode towards the control pad

;(
my office is boiling. Come over to ours for a bit. You can do my filing while your here
Air conditioning in Britain? Whatever next? Tanning studios in the Sahara? A dry ski slope in the Arctic? Talk about selling sand to the arabs!
I pretend I am getting a drink and stab the button as I walk briskly past! As soon as the noise of the air con dies down I can hear all the sighs and moans. Of course I am the only one in my coat!
Oh dear Rugelyboy, I would be "racked " off if I had such a poor grasp of the English language as you have. Oh and if you dont want to get wet, work in an office.
hope you never need any building work done with that attitude innocent
have you got your coat on now innocenti?
oh dear!!

if you turn left at the island you will be on the humour by pass!!
No I dont have my coat on as I turned the air con off!
Dont worry about my building work reccrx, builders are only interested in my money not my attitude.
i wasnt at all fussed about you building work or your money innocenti, why on earth would I be?
oh and its reDcrx :)
Hahaha, ruge! :oP You fick or summink? ;o) Come and sit with me in my heated cell. x
I work from home, so if it gets to warm I can just sit at my desk in my b'day suit, likewise with the duvet wrapped round me if it gets cold.

Moral of the story - work for yourself = no heating dilemma's
