What's a power plate? Does it make your teeth go faster?
Its a vibrating/training machine.

Personally i prefer the traditional ways of keeping fit, ie running, swimming, skipping {yes skipping as in boxing training} sit ups, press ups, punch bags etc

Cost you nothing for that lot
swimming pool fee, skipping rope, punch bag. I dont know the 9000 looking alot better laurence
tryed it recently, wasnt that impressed when i was on it, and got myself in some contortions, some of them were quite difficult if your wernt into fitness, but i must say that a few hours later my stomach was aching like i had done a hundred situps, so maybe i didnt give it a chance, they say you have use it at least 3 times a week to see any benefit, but i wil still try the normal route and use this now and again!
and how much is it just for a little while?
do you really lose inches on them or are you just shaking too much to read the tape measure properly???
Hello red & 4get

You lose pounds by getting on them.

Actually you lose loads of pounds {money} by getting on them.

Hmmm, apparently these things really work. I saw a programme on them the other night.
the results were unbelievable.
Its just the cost that puts me off getting one.
If a group of you put together though and share it, it might be cost effective...
ok who's in I need 8999.00 now
I'll stick a quid in.

I will stick 5 in , but i want priority if i am putting the most in...
ok but I get to have it at my home. Promise I wont use it Mr Ben. :-)
I don't own one but went to a studio and did a course of sessions. Much to my own surprise and to that of my sceptical husband I lost 2 inches off my waist and have gone down a dress size. I can now do press ups and my strength has increased. Three times a week and six weeks you should see a difference. I wouldn't buy one go to a specific studio and do a short series of sessions where they have trainers with you for all of them then join a gym - places like Virgin and David LLoyd have them to use for free and you will know what you are doing. You can also keep up the aerobic stuff as well. Happy vibrating.
