ok, i feel a weird saying this on here, but does anyone haave any views that if you said them people would think you were a little weird, so you just dont say them?
Mine is: i dont get all hyped up abour paedophiles. I think it's wrong and very bad, its just i think there are worser things. I never say this to anyone in case they think
1)im cold and heartless or
2)i'm condoning paedophilla (which im certainly not) i will state again, it is very wrong, but i just cant get all het up about it - either because i dont have any children or because i think the media hypes things around the subject too much without me adding to it.

What un pc views do you have that you are willing to admit to?

Oh, the other thing is i think recycling is naff

I work with people with learning disabilities and it really winds me up that they get paid so much in benefits that they have to go on spending splurges just so their savings don't build up and ruin their chances of getting more benefits!!!!! Another thing that winds me up is people who smile at me when I'm out and about with the residents who have Down's syndrome!!!!!! What are you smiling at, you patronising fool????............and relax.x

Shadow Man, Dassie's view that animals are more vulnerable beacuse they can't talk just wound me up. We all know abuse of another creature because you are bigger or stronger is wrong.

To get back to bednobs point, some people are just more compassionate than others and their views will depend on their own circumstances and experiences. I agree with Dot that deaths that happen overseas mean less to us, that's only natural I think.

Although my posts may appear otherwise, I think that the current scaremongering around paedophilia has been whipped into a huge storm by the media. The Brass Eye program on it was spot on in my opinion.

Red Nose Day and Children in Need.....sorry but these programmes do my head in....... I know they are for a good cause and all that.....but they raise millions and year after year they come back asking for more money.....what have they done with the money raised the year before?....... Built a well in Africa, made a hut for a family of 7 to live in.

Katie, you will perhaps agree with me that people wioth learning disabilities have a great life, plenty of money, nice place to live and very little to worry about. And they aren't all nice people either!!!! (Far from it in some cases).

Ive always got stick for my feelings on the fact i care more for animals then i do for people.
Ok, so if it was close family or a close friend, then i would put them before an animal.
But aot of people say they are put on earth for a reason, mine is to look after & care for animals.
People like to jump at me & have a go, but they wont change my opinion!
Even my fella used to say i loved my animals more then him, which is not true at all, but you cant really compare the love for a close family/partner to that of for an animal.

I was nearly run over by a wheelchair the other day. Not a motorised one..someone was pushing their diabled wife in it.

The wheelchair was coming from behind..I stopped to tie up my daughters shoelace and the woman started effing and blinding at me. Her daughter (20 something) made a snide comment at me before I could apologise that I hadn't got eyes in the back of my head and a simple ''excuse me'' would have been nice.

It seems that sometimes manners and decorum were lost on the day she lost her legs.

I dislike the majority of old people. I know there are exceptions, but the ones ive come across are rude, cantankerous and downright bloody mean and nasty. And i've stood behind them in that post office queue, if i got a pension that size i wouldn't be bloody moaning!

'recycling is naff' is a rudimentary stance towards complex issues of waste management - not an argument as such

'work for your dole money' - presumably you'd have to pay supervisors to watch them all day while theyre cleaning our parks and streets (assuming such work even exists)

I would be more than happy to put a bullet straight through the head of some paedophiles and animal abusers whilst looking them in the face and I would sleep at night!!!! I say some because there are degrees in both areas, an 18 year old having consensual intercourse with a 13 year old is unwise and illegal but not the same as and adult raping a 5 year old child!!

Hi bednobs, I agree that there are degrees of paedophillia just as in all cases of abuse, but all of you would have much stronger views about it IF it had affected your family and I speak from personal experience here i will outline what happened and then you can judge

My nephew was sexually abused when he was about 10, he never said anything and life went on fine,or so it seemed but in his head demons were at work, when he was 14 he started drinking, he was doing badly at school and nobody could make it out he was going to be a loser, he settled down a bit got a job, and when he was 23 the police knocked on the door, by this time his drinking was really bad anyway but that knock on the door changed our lives,
They had arrested a man for sexual abuse of children, my nephews name was in his diary, yes he kept a diary of what he had done, he had abused 12 boys, it went to court he was given 4 years inside, my nephew broke down and decided the only way forward for him was drugs to hide this thing, he got hooked on heroin as did 3 of the other lads involved, 2 of them died my nephew and another lad are now getting help, but his liver is damaged because of the drink, will he ever be free of drugs ? who can say, his mother blames herself, she is always breaking down because she did not protect him, her life will never be the same nor will his, as for the abuser he served 20 months, and was then given a flat overlooking a school playground,, my views for certain acts of abuse are quite clear, I would kill them. simple now you can all slate me for thing that i don't give a monkeys.

I do agree with you about the recycling bit, it is a waste of time for the difference it makes, I do not like having to refer to lazy scrounging gits in properties i work as sir and madam just to be PC, so I dont call them that.
