I know it is hard, but you need to put it behind you and think of the good things you have going for you.
If you are the unluckiest person, Mr annie and I must win unluckiest couple. In the 12 years we have known each other:
1. My husband's brother died in a house fire
2. My husbands dad died of a stroke
3. My husbands uncle drowned in the river behind his mum's house whilst he was staying with her
4. My uncle died of cancer
5. My brother died from blood poisoning
6. My Dad died of a heart attack
7. My cousin was killed in a road accident
8. My husbands mum died of cancer
9. My husbands other brother died of cancer shortly after his baby daughter almost died from a diabetic coma.
10 My sister suffered a late miscarriage
11. My uncle died of exposure after breaking his leg on the way home from the pub in winter
12. My aunt died of cancer
13. My sister-in -law has been diagnosed with breast cancer and is not responding to treatment.
14. My husband has been suffering with a mystery illness for the last three years - does not seem to be life threatening though.
During all this I also had fertility problems - mainly due to stress and have been made redundant twice.
You know what though - I couldn't do anything about any of those deaths - so while I think about the closest ones to me pretty much every day, I would say that I am an optimist and I look at my kids and that just brightens my days.
I am well insured though!!!!!

Hi Hau kola - yes we do worry about our kids - there are too many kids in our family that have been left without a parent, and I said that we were well insured and I wasn't joking. We are not particularly well off, but we have wills and trusts and insurance up to our eyeballs to make sure that at least they wouldn't have to worry about income if anything were to happen to us. We are also lucky enough to have enough family and friends available to ensure that they would always have a loving home.

always makes my kids feel really well looked after, we say that it is about guardian angels and how their granparents and uncles look out for them when they are scared.
