I now see AB as a small community, where we can help folk and be helped, check on some to see how theyre doin, have the gossip and some banter. Made up of all sorts of folk, different personalities with a variety of knowledge and some laughter thrown in too!
Its addictive tho, took several hours to go make my tea last night as I felt glued to the keyboard lol
Yep, that's how I see it too, or how i'd like to see it. It's true it is possible to form friendships on here, well as close to a friendship that you can get on a forum. However it's sad to say that you also come across folk who you dislike and on hindsite maybe you should avoid those posts.
bednobs - I only found it cos I was looking for the name of the winding road in the peugeot advert, it came up in a google search. I didnt know what to make of it at first and had a wobbily start but 3 weeks on its kinda cool.
I think as a newbie, it's slightly different as it's obvious that others know eachother and some of my comments can be ignored.... not saying on purpous, just that others they know have a conversation going and my posts are just not relevan to their conversation!
Sorry, don't want to start an argument.... just something i've noticed!
I agree. I like visiting here to see what is being discussed that day. Some days I get involved and some days I don't. I did once get embroiled into the silly hour but soon learnt my lesson and don't bother now! I'm slowly getting used to seeing a few familiar user names who I like and some that I prefer to avoid. On the whole I think it passes a bit of time very nicely when you just need to chill.
lol, Andrea81. I too post many times and am completely ignored! I am invisible occasionally and think maybe my comments are not showing on everyone elses screen because no one refers to them! Never mind, as I've said before I shall keep perservering and anyway I'm enjoying myself so there!
oooer, not sure i like the idea of being noticed....lol.
but i for one am pleased that nice new users such as yourself, andrea and weeal have found us ( soon be a love fest this!), otherwise the site will stagnate with just us oldies rattling round in it, there's only so many times we can ask each other what we've had for tea ya know ;-)
Andrea and Pirate, dont be deterred at all, mostly its nice and I have sat here at the PC killing myself laughing out loud at some of the comments, even arguments, on this site.
