Hi

I know this is a tad depressing... but.. what 3 songs ( not hymns) would you choose for your funeral.... they can be funny, sad, uplifting....

I know my friends father chose, as a joke...for his wifes funeral

Ding dong the witch is dead, from the Wizard of Oz...

Can only think of two.
I would like Elton Johns Funeral for a Friend and Onward Christian Soldiers. I love the first and the second would be for me to look down and laugh at my family singing a hymn and also failing to hit the high note!

funeral for a friend (elton john)

the final countdown (europe)

and knights of cydonia (muse) as the lyrics in it go "no ones gonna take me alive"
Can only think of one at the moment. I'd have to be Arms of an Angel by Angelis.

1 Hell Awaits by Slayer
2 Fade to Black by Metallica
3 Highway to Hell by AC/DC
mr nutgone has just come in and said:

Suzy is a Punk Rocker - Ramones

Fields of Gold - Sting

Gay Bar - Electric 6

But then he is a bit strange...! (I'm still thinking of mine.)
I would like maybe:
Dj shadow - Blood on the motorway
Elton john Funeral for a friend
can't think of another one.
i think three are to many

most funerals are very short

three songs would take up half the alloted time

hi happyjo
we recentley went to a friends funeral and he wanted all ways look on the bright side of life playing. Everyone started smiling and it was such a good song to end things on
Come Up and See Me (C0ckney Rebel) wll be good as if the deceased is inviting folk to Heaven upon their own demise.

However, I would chose:

Fantastic Voyage------David Bowie
Absolute Beginners-------David Bowie
Still Life------Suede
Add Some Music-----------The Beach Boys
