Have you ever been in a situation where you wished you had a camera? Ever seen something so lovely, or something so bizarre or just a memory you wish you'd captured?

I babysat my mates little girl but this time my bloke came too because he wanted to meet the little girl hes heard so much about. Now the littln is 4 years old but isnt the kind of girl to give cuddles or get close to anyone. It took her a few weeks to even speak to me. Anyway when we got there me and my mate went into kitchen for a drink, and when I got back my bloke was sat on couch with little girl cuddled up so close to him wearing his baseball cap watching simpsons togather. It was so cute.
yes and i did have a camera, holiday i just had when i went to norfolk it was crapiest weather ever but we took loads of pictures and lovely ones too, when we got back something happened to the digital camera and they are all wipped, i done all the stuff with proammes to get pictures back and i cant so i am so so upset about it as i will never get those memories back :-(
Yep. Above anything else it would be when we were on a canal boat holiday when I was a kid. My dad reversed the boat and the propeller hit a rock sending the tiller (steering rod thing?) flying with my dad attached to hit. He was hanging over the water, like a monkey off a tree.
On another note, I am absolutely jarred off with camera phones. Nowadays, no matter how much you try and hide from the camera someone always manages to capture your most ridiculous moments.

I wish I'd had a camera on me one day when my son was 2yrs old. We'd gone to a local garden centre, way out in the countryside, the week before Christmas, so's he could see Santa. It was snowing and they'd arranged for Santa to arrive on a sleigh, pulled by reindeer. We heard the sleighbells and looked down the road, which was covered with snow, along with the pine trees, and we saw Santa arriving, through the snowflakes. I wish I'd taken 2 pictures - one of the sleigh with Santa, in the snow, and the other one of my little boy's face, it was truly magical! I've still got the scene in my mind, though - I'll never forget that moment. K xx
One rainy day when our lawn was like a quagmire, Mr Overall went to take a tray of his precious seedlings to the greenhouse. His feet slid from under him and he did the splits before landing face down in the mud at the edge of the pond.
I would have sold one of our kids to capture that moment on camera!

Yes definitely. About three years ago one of my best friend told me she had been diagnosed with breast cancer while I was staying with her for the weekend and on the saturday we noticed a weird smell coming from her back garden and discovered that her soil pipe/drain was blocked up. So we got a neighbour with a spade to lever up the cover and she was standing beside me, as the cover lifted the p00 came out to meet us, we both ran to opposite ends of the garden wretching, gagging and laughing at the same time. I looked at my friend, her beautiful smile, eyes shining and the sun on her face and truely wished I had a camera to capture the image as I dont think she ever looked more beautiful, I still have the image in my head even today. Fortunately after a mastectomy and chemo she is fine and I can look forward to many more smiles and laughter but I doubt any will compare to that one. For Marie xxx.
Yes I frequently do 4get, however about 3 years ago it was the first day back at school, a beautiful September morning and I did have my camera with me, I took a picture of my son and his friend walking to school, it was a truly beautiful photo, leafy lane, two little boys in a shaft of sunlight walking away from the camera. I gave a copy to the other little boys Mum and her sister in law, who is an artist in New Zealand spotted it while on a visit and she has now painted it, it's beautiful.
This is what happens when you do have a camera and your dog jumps up just as you press the shutter , resulting in a really silly wormseye view :-)

Oh bigmamma, he is just adorable! I went to derbyshire a couple of years ago with my bloke, and we went for a bit of a ramble. We were walking through a field, and were being stared at by a group of sheep. I felt a bit panicked, and was convinced that they were going to just suddenly attack, when t'other half said 'look up!' and there, staring at us were two gorgeous sheep, in a mirror image of us! it was like a postcard! So I took a photo, and it just makes me chuckle every time I look at it! Will try and upload it onto this thread.
